I’d like to send a quick message to all of you and thank you for your support.

 A. New CD

My new CD is now available. It is titled “Hank Did It This Way”. It is a tribute to five country music stars named Hank. I wrote the title song which tells you their real names and where they came from. I will introduce the CD on the Johnny Western Show on “AM 1070-The Ranch” in Wichita on Wednesday, August 20.

B. Upcoming Public Shows

1. August 23 – Wyldewood Cellars Concert

Please call 800-711-9748 for reservations for the great buffet dinner and my concert. Wyldewood Cellars is located just a few miles south of Wichita on I35 at the Mulvane exit. Dinner – 6pm; Concert – 7pm. (Smoked Brisket, Smoked Pork Loin and all the fixings which are home cooked right there, not catered.) Also, this will be the first time you can purchase my new CD.

 2. September 13 - Ionia/Jewell Country Music Festival

Curt Shoemaker, the award winning Steel Guitarist, is moving his one day Country Music Festival from his home town of Ionia to nearby Jewell, Kansas to benefit the attendees in many ways. For more information, call 785-786-3361. Top notch country, cowboy and bluegrass music all day long.

 3. September 25-28 - Gene Autry, Oklahoma Cowboy Film and Music Festival

This will be the 16^th year for this great festival with top-notch music on two stages and many cowboy movie and TV personalities. Gene Watson will be there on Friday night. My band and I will headline the Saturday night show. And of course, our hero Johnny Western will join us for a wonderful time.  For reservations, call 580-294-3047.

 4. September 28 – Cowboy Church, Elgin, OK

For the second consecutive year, I will present a concert of gospel music at the Cowboy Church, located on Hwy 62, between Elgin and Apache, Oklahoma. Great food cooked right there by real cowboys. Concert begins at 10am. For more information, call our cowboy buddy Billy Bridges at 580-591-2719.

 5. October 1-19 - Silver Dollar City, Branson, Missouri

This will be the 13^th consecutive year for my band and I to do the Barn Dance Show at Silver Dollar City in Branson. We will do three shows per day. Over the three weeks, we will do 45 shows and every show is different – we take requests. Come and stay to dance to some great western swing music. Also bring the kids and all the family and do the “Chicken Dance”. (Silver Dollar City is closed Mondays and Tuesdays in October).

 6. October 26 – Park Lake Road Baptist Church - Waco, Texas

I will be presenting lots of gospel music for the morning worship, noon luncheon and the evening concert for Dr. Bill Austin and his folks there in Waco.

 7. November 22 – Old Mill Theater - Buhler, Kansas

The Les Gilliam Trio (Jeanne and Jerome) will do a concert of cowboy/western music after a delicious meal of old time cowboy food. For reservations, call 620-543-6684.

 8. December 13 – Quail Valley Fun Barn - Winfield, Kansas

This is our annual Cowboy Christmas Ball with my Silver Lake Band and some good eats.  For reservations, call 620-221-0052.

 C. Past Shows

I want to thank all the folks in Minden, Wahoo, Springview, Norden and Trenton, Nebraska for your friendship and support of our concerts there this year. Being on Big Al’s radio show on KRVN in Lexington on August 9 was a hoot. And also thanks to the folks at Nebraska Television (NTV) for my appearance there on August 11. Also, thanks to the folks in Council Grove, Newton, Winfield and Park City, Kansas; and Reagan, Stillwater and Lindsay, Oklahoma for their support and hospitality.
